Leveling, Combat and S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Stats
Leveling Up is an essential part of WaifuGame to make your Animus stronger. Each time you gain a level, your Combat Stats go up. At certain levels, your S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Stats go up.
Gaining Levels
Levels are gained by getting enough XP (Experience Points) to reach the next level.
You get XP by:
- Participating and winning battles;
- Consuming Foods and Gifts.

(Physical) Attack

Defense
The Defense stat partly determines how much damage an Animu receives when it is hit with a Physical Attack.
Magic Attack
The Magic Attack stat , partly determines how much damage an Animu deals when using a Magic Attack.
Magic Resist
The Magic Resist stat partly determines how much damage an Animu receives when it is hit with a Magic Attack.
Speed
The Speed stat determines which Animu will act first in battle.
S.P.E.C.I.A.L Stats
These Stats are important for two things:
- Providing Boosts to Combat Stats while leveling up
- Out-of-combat benefits
How to Get It
S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Stats are unlocked at Lv.6, 16, 26, 36, 46, 56, 66, 76, 86 and 96.
The biggest number of S.P.E.C.I.A.L. points are awarded at Lv.6. The number of S.P.E.C.I.A.L. points is based on the Rarity of a Card.
Unlike Combat Stats, S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Stats are capped at 10.
S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Points are randomly distributed among each of the Stats. A Card has a specific Trait, meaning that that S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Stat will receive triple odds when the points are randomly distributed.

Physical Damage or Magic Damage?
Whether you should strategize around Physical Damage or Magic Damage is primarily a matter of the Elemental Type of an Animu, because that determines which moves it may learn. Animus can learn a mixture of both Physical and Magic based attacks.
The Elemental Type of a Combat Move will determine which Attack Stat is used by the attacker, and the Defense Stat by the Defender.
See the table below to find out whether a type is Physical or Magic:
